About Oliver
As a first-year Engineering student at the University of Auckland, I have a strong academic background in math and science and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. I provide online tutoring for NCEA Level 2 and 3 Calculus and Chemistry, with lessons designed to be clear, supportive, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I aim to build both confidence and understanding by breaking down difficult concepts step by step and encouraging independent problem-solving.

I take a patient and supportive approach to tutoring, focusing on building both understanding and confidence. I like to first identify what a student is finding difficult, then explain concepts clearly, step by step, before working through examples together. I also encourage students to ask questions and practise independently, so they can develop problem-solving skills rather than just memorising methods.
My lessons are usually 60 minutes long and are designed for NCEA Level 2 and Level 3 students studying Calculus or Chemistry. As a first-year Engineering student at the University of Auckland, I have a strong background in maths and science and understand how important it is to provide clear, structured, and easy-to-follow explanations. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and more confident in their abilities.
