About Julissa
I am a graduate from UVA with a degree in Education and Religion ! I am also pre-med and I am planning on taking the MCAT soon, so I have a huge background in stem.
I have student taught with elementary and high school students.
During my free time I work as a summer camp counselor and I love to play volleyball with my friends.

I have a Bachelor's in education from a top education school (UVA) which taught me how to effectively plan tailored lessons for each student. I have a concentration Special Education, so I also have a lot of experience working with students with disabilities. (I am certified in Special Education)
When assigned a new student I first find out whether their parents signed them up for tutoring for enrichment purposes of grade improvement.
When planning lessons for grade improvement, I first try to find out what students are working on in their classes. I will center each lesson around class content.
For enrichment students during the first session I give them a pre-assessment which informs each lesson.
