About Darren
I'm a 2nd year PE and Maths student in DCU, I was accredited a H1 in both Maths and Phys/Chem in my leaving cert. I want to teach Maths because it wasn't something I loved the whole way through secondary school but after committing myself to getting a H1 in my leaving cert I found a love for Maths and decided I wanted to become a Maths teacher so I can show students that anyone can get good at Maths, regardless of whether it is their favorite subject in school or the one class they dread going in to every day.

I can teach all levels from students hoping to get a H1 in their leaving certificate to students who want to pass ordinary level.
I believe that 60 minute tutoring lessons are sufficiently long for you to receive an adequate amount of tuition without being overloaded with information, however this can be adjusted to suit your individual needs.
I use a visualizer so you can see me writing as I explain, I find this to be a more effective method than using slideshows or attempting to just verbally explain, and I teach for understanding so you not only know the steps to solving a particular problem but also understand why you're using those steps and therefor can use this knowledge to solve similar problems.
