About John
I am a 2nd year law student at Queen Mary University of London.
I achieved A*AA in my A-levels, with the A* in English literature. I also got an A* in both GCSE English Literature and Language.
I have tutored a number of GCSE and A-level students in English literature and language in the past, specifically helping these students to improve their essay writing skills and improve their understanding of rhetorical devices.

My favourite subject at school was always English Literature, and i have always loved reading both books and poems.
My usual teaching method starts with asking students what they are struggling with most in their studies, and basing my classes around that. Typically, I find it very useful to hone in on essay techniques and identifying rhetorical devices, as these will be useful in any English literature or language module that is being studied.
I am more than happy to adapt the structuring of my lessons to suit the needs of my students, and we can spend as much or as little time on an issue as you like.
