About Yousuf
I’ve always had a passion for teaching and mentoring others. While I’ve consistently been a strong student, tutoring helped me realise that my real strength lies in explaining complex ideas in a simple, relatable way. I strongly believe that no student is “bad” at mathematics—everyone has the potential to excel when taught using the right approach for their way of thinking. I am a tutor from Sri Lanka, and I work closely with students to build deep understanding rather than rote memorisation. My teaching approach focuses on identifying each student’s unique strengths, breaking down challenging concepts step by step, and developing lasting problem-solving confidence that goes beyond exams. Alongside tutoring, I have a strong background in mathematics, programming, and logical problem-solving through academic and technical projects. This allows me to teach mathematics not just as a subject, but as a practical skill connected to real-world applications and technology. I am experienced in working with structured syllabi, exam preparation, and concept-based learning. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades, but to help them gain genuine confidence, independence, and a positive mindset towards learning mathematics. With the right guidance, effort, and encouragement, I truly believe every student can succeed.
