About Jaskaran
Hello there, my name is Jaskaran, and I’m currently a 3rd year medical student at Imperial College London. I always used to think that I’d learn everything by myself and through my own experiences, but that all changed when Covid hit and I began feeling rather lost both academically and in other aspects of life. It was then where I sought guidance from elder years and through their advice I began setting my life back on track. It made me really appreciate how important having the right mentor was and seeing the difference that these people made in my life got me heavily into teaching. Getting the opportunity to play that role in another person’s life is something I will always strive to do. In being your tutor I will ensure that you not only strengthen your skills in the subjects you do, but also become a more well-rounded student as that is a skill that gets you very far in life.

I aim to make my lessons as fun and engaging as possible where I will first understand your way of learning and then personalise the sessions so that you grow and develop your skills in that subject but also as a student. Teaching for me isn’t just a way of passing down valuable knowledge but it gives me the opportunity to play that mentorship role that was provided to me when I was younger. I strive to teach whenever the chance is presented to me may that be tutoring GCSE students in the past and also helping out multiple aspiring medics with their interviews who are now all happily studying in the university of their dreams. Currently at university I am carrying out tutorial and clinical skills sessions for younger years which has been really enjoyable. I will be tutoring all 3 sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) at both GCSE and A-level alongside offering medical school interview preparation. The aim is to keep the sessions an hour long and preferably online.
