About Sam
I am a musician from Gateshead composing original music, teaching, and playing live across the NE, with classical ABRSM training in piano (grade 8), trumpet (grade 7, including jazz trumpet grade 5) and theory (grade 5). I am also a self-taught guitarist and bass player.
I wish to build a long-term career in music in the NE, and consider that my wide range of experience, including composition, teaching, and live playing makes me a good model teacher.

The purpose of the course is to help inspire anybody to play the piano and decide whether they wish to pursue the piano more formally (for example through the ABRSM practical examinations).
The details on the lessons are to be agreed on an individual basis. My lessons can be taught from my home, or the individual's home if they have a piano.
I have achieved the following ABRSM qualifications: piano grade 8; trumpet grade 7; theory grade 5. My piano teacher was Kay Johnston, a very experienced local teacher, who would be happy to provide a reference if required.
