I teach only in small group (maximum of 5) so that students can get a lot of individual attention as well as learn from and encourage each other. Taking it slowly, I repeat difficult parts and Students go home with notes and patterns to encourage them to continue
I studied natural sciences and English literature, have worked in various industries but currently manage a craft shop on a part-time basis while raising a family (and tutoring). I have been teaching crochet to adults since 2009 and applique and embroidery since 2016. I occasionally teach knitting when a student requests it.
A minimum of 2 students are needed for a class to go ahead and be viable for me to proceed. I prepare lessons in advance for number of people booked, purchase materials and print my own notes. I will notify a student as soon as possible if a workshop needs to be rescheduled due to too low numbers.
Students cancelling between 14 days and 48 hours before a scheduled lesson will receive either a 50% refund or the chance to move to a different session where possible. Cancellations with over 14 days’ notice will receive a 100% refund or the chance to move to a different session where possible. If a student is unable to attend at short notice, please do contact me if you have a friend who could attend in your place.
If I have to cancel or change the date of a course, I will give the student as much notice as possible and offer and alternative session date. If the student is not able to attend the rescheduled date, I am happy to offer a full refund. Please note that I am not responsible for any travel or other third party costs incurred by students.
