About Karen
I have worked in Further Education for over twelve years as well as in Community Education. I have taught study skills sessions in small groups as well as numeracy, literacy and IT. I have a great deal of experience working with individuals with Dyslexia and Asperger Syndrome and work well on a 1:1 basis building up student confidence and trust. I have the PDA ITALL qualification.

I am a lifelong learner who loves to support others to access education in their own way. I am passionate about helping others find the most effective learning methods for themselves and coaching them to become more independent in their own learning, utilising technology where suitable.
I am motivated by the fact that each learner is individual and they bring their own experiences and unique learning style to their education. I therefore adapt my approach to suit the individual. I also believe that contextualised learning brings merits.
