About Arlo
With over 10 years of experience teaching saxophone to college students, I focus on helping learners grow steadily and confidently. My teaching style is flexible, friendly, and student-centred. I believe every student has a unique learning style, and lessons should be adapted accordingly.
I train students in tone development, breath support, finger technique, rhythm practice, and performance skills. Creative elements such as improvisation and musical interpretation are included to keep lessons engaging. I use real-life music examples so students can clearly understand practical applications.
To improve learning effectiveness, I use modern tools such as recording feedback, play-along tracks, and personalised practice plans. I also teach music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to strengthen musical understanding.
My lessons focus on building confidence, consistency, and enjoyment. Whether you want to perform on stage or simply play for relaxation, I provide clear guidance and steady encouragement throughout your learning process.

My teaching methodology for Saxophone focuses on long-term growth, creativity, and responsibility. I believe every student can learn effectively with the right guidance and consistent practice. Lessons begin with building strong fundamentals such as breath control, embouchure stability, posture, finger technique, tone balance, and reading music.
Creativity is included by encouraging students to explore musical ideas, learn popular melodies, and practise improvisation in a simple and guided way. As a mentor, I provide motivation, support, and honest feedback to help students stay confident and committed.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students to understand musical patterns, rhythm structure, and scale relationships. Accountability is maintained through clear practice goals, regular feedback, and progress evaluation. Along with Saxophone lessons, I also teach supporting subjects such as Music Theory, Ear Training, Rhythm Practice, and Performance Basics to help students become confident and independent musicians.
