About Urma
experience ranges from primary school to mature students having a career change, I am most comfortable teaching A level and GCSE chemistry as I studying chemistry until A2 level and achieved an A grade. Every student I have taught has achieved their predicted grade or higher with one mature student having a career change being able to improve her grade to a distinction and is now studying at her first choice university, the university of York. I currently tutor 2 other students in chemistry, one for A level and one for GCSE so I am experienced in this area.

My approach to teaching is building confidence and improving exam technique as these are often the two biggest set backs for students. I am very good at communicating and explaining things and I am well practiced with school students from my previous tutoring experience and from having a younger sister. I ask for students to come to every lesson with a clear idea on what they don't understand so I can plan and find useful resources, I often use videos, textbooks and online worksheets to really further their understanding. I want students to feel comfortable that they can ask me any questions as there are no stupid questions! I have an extensive collection of my own handmade revision notes and access to dozens of very old past papers and marking schemes to ensure students are well practiced.
