After seventeen years teaching ESL, my method is highly systematic, built around detailed diagnostic testing at the very start of every tutoring relationship to pinpoint exact gaps rather than guessing at weaknesses. Topics are organised into a mapped sequence covering grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, showing students explicitly how each concept feeds into the next, which helps learners see coherence across the entire curriculum.
