About Tiru
I am an experienced Guitar tutor with 21 years of teaching experience, helping school students, college students, and working professionals learn guitar with confidence and enjoyment. Over the years, I have worked with beginners as well as students who wanted to improve their existing skills.
My teaching philosophy is based on the belief that every student can learn music with proper guidance, patience, and regular practice. I understand that each learner is different, so I customise lessons according to individual goals, interests, and learning speed.
My classes cover guitar basics, chords, scales, rhythm training, finger exercises, fingerstyle techniques, music theory, and song learning. I focus on building strong fundamentals while keeping lessons enjoyable and interactive. I encourage students to develop confidence and express themselves through music.
During my teaching journey, I have successfully trained many students who have performed at school functions, college cultural events, and personal gatherings. Seeing students grow from beginners to confident players has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.
I believe that music is a lifelong skill that brings happiness and creativity. My goal is to provide students with quality guidance, inspire continuous improvement, and help them develop a lasting passion for guitar and music.

My teaching methodology is based on compassion, communication, and supportiveness. I believe that every student has the ability to learn and grow when given the right guidance and encouragement. I create a comfortable and positive environment where students can learn confidently and enjoy the process without feeling pressured.
I teach Guitar through a structured and progressive method. Beginners first learn proper posture, finger exercises, hand coordination, rhythm patterns, and basic chords. Once the foundation becomes strong, students gradually move to scales, chord progressions, strumming techniques, fingerstyle methods, and song performance. Advanced learners are introduced to improvisation, musical expression, and stage preparation.
I focus on building strong fundamentals because they are essential for long-term musical development. I encourage regular practice and provide constructive feedback after every lesson. My goal is to help students understand concepts clearly and apply them confidently.
Apart from Guitar, I also teach music theory, rhythm training, ear development, music notation, and basic songwriting. These subjects help students become complete musicians with a deeper understanding of music.
My aim is to help students develop confidence, discipline, creativity, and a lifelong passion for music.
