About Devarati

I provide structured, engaging French lessons aligned with Ontario’s French as a Second Language curriculum framework and tailored to each child’s learning needs. With strong organizational skills, careful lesson preparation, and a patient, supportive approach, I aim to make learning effective and enjoyable. My priority is to build students’ confidence, strengthen their language skills, and keep parents informed of their progress.

About the lesson

Looking for a fun, engaging, and structured way for your child to learn French? My French classes are designed for students in Grades 1–3 in Ontario, helping young learners build language skills, confidence, and a love for learning.

What Your Child Will Learn

My lessons are informed by Ontario’s French as a Second Language curriculum framework, with activities adapted to each child’s age, level, and learning needs.

Grade 1: Greetings, numbers, colors, the alphabet, animals, family, and everyday French expressions.

Grade 2: Food, clothing, days and months, hobbies, classroom vocabulary, and simple sentence formation.

Grade 3: Daily routines, describing people and places, asking questions, reading short stories, writing simple sentences, and everyday conversations.

Learning Made Fun!

Through interactive games, colorful visuals, songs, storytelling, quizzes, role-playing, and creative activities, children learn French naturally while staying engaged. Each lesson combines listening, speaking, vocabulary, pronunciation, and age-appropriate reading and writing.

Why Choose My Classes?

Fun and interactive: Learning through activities rather than memorization alone.

Structured lessons: A clear progression from basic vocabulary to simple conversations.

Personalized attention: Lessons adapted to your child’s pace and abilities.

Confidence-building: A supportive environment where mistakes are part of learning.

Practical French: Helping children use what they learn in everyday situations.

Whether your child is a complete beginner or wants extra French practice alongside school, my goal is to make every lesson enjoyable, meaningful, and rewarding.

Let’s help your child say “Bonjour!” with confidence and take the first step towards becoming a young French speaker!
