About Ade
I am an Accounting Sciences graduate with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for helping students understand subjects that they may initially find challenging.
I achieved 95% in Mathematics and 94% in Physical Sciences in Matric, and later completed my BCom Accounting Sciences and postgraduate studies at the University of Pretoria. My studies and professional experience have given me a strong foundation in Mathematics, Accounting and analytical problem-solving.
I have also had experience tutoring high-school learners, and what I enjoy most is seeing a learner go from struggling with a concept to eventually being able to solve problems confidently on their own.
I understand that every learner approaches problems differently, so I try to be patient, approachable and adapt my explanations until we find a method that makes sense to the student.

I believe that Maths and Science become much easier once you understand the reasoning behind what you are doing, rather than simply memorising formulae and methods.
My lessons focus on breaking difficult concepts down into simple, understandable steps and then working through questions together until the learner is comfortable applying the concepts independently. I also like identifying the specific areas a learner struggles with so that we can spend more time strengthening those foundations.
A typical lesson can include explaining concepts, working through examples, assisting with homework and assignments, and practising past examination questions. I am also happy to adapt lessons depending on the learner's individual needs and upcoming tests or exams.
I primarily tutor Mathematics and Physical Sciences at high-school level, as well as Accounting. Lessons are conducted in English and are suitable for learners who may be struggling with a subject as well as those who are already performing well and want to improve their marks further.
My goal is not only to help learners get the right answers, but to help them understand why the answer is correct so that they become more confident solving problems on their own.
