About Darani
I am in the Accelerated Curriculum Extension (ACE) class at Northcote High School. I tutor students who need extra help or want to learn advanced skills in math from prep to year 8. Throughout primary school up until the present day, I tutored my schoolmates, all ages, at recess and lunch. The sessions lasted from 20-40 minutes, as that is all the time we had during break, but I can teach for as long as needed. Only having 40 minutes max to tutor other students means that I know how to use the time I have effectively while also being patient and stopping whenever my student needs. I know that learning a new skill is hard and I know how to cater to other people's needs to bring out the best results. I strive to make my classes interactive, using different teaching styles and finding the perfect one for my student. I believe that learning should be fun and enjoyable for both the student and the teacher, and I'm committed to making sure that my classes are. So, whether you're in middle school or primary school needing extra help or wanting to widen your mathematical skills, I'm here to help. I believe that I can help you in your learning while also understanding what it's like to go to school in this generation and the expectations of school.

My lessons are in person, in Northcote/Brunswick, Victoria, or online using Zoom. I aim to make my lessons enjoyable by using different methods for each person and finding the perfect one. Teaching little tricks for multiplication or simple songs to help remember steps in an equation are tools I use to help my students get a better understanding of math. I set very little homework, 1 or 2 pages of questions, and focus on the year level curriculum for the grade my student wants help in.
