About Lexuan
Hello! My name is Lexuan, and I am currently a PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering at RMIT University. I graduated with a perfect GPA of 4.0/4.0 and have always been passionate about both engineering and teaching.
Before starting my PhD, I worked as a Stress Engineer at Airbus, where I gained valuable industry experience in structural analysis and engineering design. I also work as a university teaching assistant at RMIT, supporting engineering laboratory classes and helping students develop practical engineering skills.
One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students grow in confidence. I always strive to explain difficult concepts in a simple and logical way, creating a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. My patience and approachable teaching style have earned positive feedback from students, and many have told me they would happily choose my classes again.
Whether you're preparing for exams, working on assignments, or hoping to strengthen your understanding of engineering, I'll tailor each lesson to your goals. As an RMIT PhD candidate in Mechanical Engineering with industry experience as a Stress Engineer at Airbus and current university teaching experience, I aim to make engineering concepts easy to understand and practical to apply.
My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, whether you are preparing for exams, completing assignments, working on a final-year project, or learning programming and engineering software from scratch. I focus on helping students understand the theory first, then reinforce it through worked examples, real engineering applications, and problem-solving techniques.
I teach Mechanical Engineering subjects including Statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS, HyperMesh, Nastran), MATLAB, Python, and engineering mathematics.
Lessons are typically 1–2 hours and are suitable for undergraduate and postgraduate students. I am patient, approachable, and always encourage questions, ensuring every student gains confidence as well as technical skills.
