About Renee
Gigging across the US helped me realize that music is a bridge between different cultures. I earned my BA in Latin American Music at Berklee and have been teaching for 13 years. My method is straightforward: we learn the guitar through the music that actually moves you. I focus on helping adults, advanced players, and those focused on performance.
My path involved blending formal musicology with the practical grit of touring. I do not promise perfection, but I do promise that our time together will be centered on genuine musical growth. We explore the instrument with curiosity and care.

Getting your fingers to land on the right chord during a transition is often the hardest part of the start. I admit that even after 13 years, I still find new ways to refine my own fingerpicking patterns. My lessons utilize my background in Latin American Music to explore blues progressions and improvisation.
We cover lead guitar, scales, and modes with a focus on real application. I offer a free trial session to assess your starting level and discuss your goals.
We can dig into reading sheet music or refining your songwriting process. Grade exam prep is available if you prefer a structured path. I find it enjoyable to see students develop their own unique soloing style.
