About Tova
With over 4 years of experience and a Graduate Diploma in Violin Pedagogy, I specialize in merging performance and theory in violin learning. My approach ensures students understand the “why” behind every note they play. I integrate aural skills, music theory, and sight reading into every lesson. This method is especially effective for students preparing for music theory exams or advanced harmony studies. We work on scales, intervals, and harmonic patterns directly on the violin. Our sessions include rhythm clapping, melodic dictation, and score tracking exercises. I teach students how to scan ahead in the music while keeping steady time. This leads to smoother, more accurate playing. Over time, your reading becomes effortless. You’ll be able to walk into rehearsals and perform new music without hesitation.
