About David
I’m a friendly, patient and approachable maths tutor who enjoys helping students understand maths and build confidence in their abilities.
I know that maths can sometimes feel difficult or frustrating, so I focus on creating a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I’m happy to explain things in different ways until a concept really clicks, rather than simply moving on when something isn’t understood.
I’m passionate about helping students make progress, whether that means improving their grades, preparing for an important exam, or simply becoming more confident with maths. I’ll always try to make lessons engaging and adapt my teaching to suit each student.
My goal is not only to help students get the right answers, but to help them understand why the answer is right and develop skills they can use independently.
I'm Based in New Barnet, currently available to book face-to-face tutoring from September to December (2026).

My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, whether you're looking to improve your understanding, build confidence, prepare for exams, or aim for top grades.
I explain maths clearly and step-by-step, breaking down difficult topics into simple, manageable ideas. Lessons are interactive, and I encourage students to ask questions so we can identify any areas they find challenging.
We can focus on specific topics, work through past-paper questions, improve problem-solving skills, and develop effective exam techniques. My goal is not just to help students get the right answers, but to ensure they genuinely understand the methods and feel confident applying them independently.
Whether you're struggling with maths or looking to push yourself towards the highest grades, I will adapt each lesson to your goals and current level.

David is very professional and a great communicator. He listens well and has a calm and methodical approach. He was able to clarify key points that I was stuck on and broke complicated problems down so they were much easier to understand. Would highly recommend
