About Nishu

I am your Hindi/Punjabi teacher. I am here not only to teach you letters, words and sentences, but also to make learning fun, creative and enjoyable.
In our class, we will speak, sing, play, act, read and create together. You can ask questions, make mistakes and learn without fear.

A Different Method for Hindi & Punjabi Classes
1. “Listen → Speak → See → Read → Write” Method
Instead of starting directly with writing:
Listen to the sound/word
️ Speak it aloud
See the letter/picture
Read the word
️ Write it
2. Story-Based Learning
Introduce letters through a tiny story rather than memorization.
For example, for ਕ (ਕੱਕਾ), show a picture of a ਕਬੂਤਰ and create a 2–3 line story around it.
3. Letter Treasure Hunt
Hide Hindi/Punjabi letters around the classroom. Children find a letter, identify it, say its sound and find a picture/word beginning with it.
4. “Word of the Day”
Every day introduce one useful Hindi/Punjabi word. Children:
say it,
act it,
Identify its picture,
use it in a simple sentence.
5. Puppet & Role-Play
Use puppets to make children speak naturally. For example:
“ਸਤ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ!” / “नमस्ते!”
“What is your name?” / “ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਹੈ?”
6. Air Writing & Body Letters
Before pencil work, children make letters:
in the air,
on sand/flour,
with clay,
with their fingers,
or even with their bodies.
