I enjoy helping people to understand and resolve problems and I am confident that I can offer another perspective in areas where students are stuck or are looking for extra support. Get up to speed for A-levels & GCSEs. Help & support for all exam boards.
I have a strong academic record, having gained a 2:1 Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Manchester as well as three As at A-level, including both Maths and Physics, and A*s in these subjects at GCSE. For the last seven years, I have been working as an airline pilot, most recently flying the Boeing 747 or the "Jumbo Jet" as you may know it better. My role means that I need to have a sound technical understanding, not just of the principles of flight but also of all of the systems on board, be they electrical, hydraulic or mechanical. Due to the dynamic nature of the flying, I regularly use mental arithmetic for many tasks as well as trigonometry to evaluate crosswinds.
