About Alice

- What kind of experience do you have?

I have taught students privately during my higher education and previous to this I established and ran a flute group at my Secondary School: Tadcaster Grammar School.
I am currently teaching individuals and small groups at Blackheath Conservatoire both flute and piano.

I believe performing and teaching can work as a perfect combination...as a flautist I have just been accepted to the Southbank Sinfonia programme starting January 2016 ((concealed information) and this summer I toured Europe for 6 weeks with the European Youth Orchestra ((concealed information) as their principal flute and principal piccolo player. I enjoy playing chamber music and perform frequently with The Netherlands Flute Academy Ensemble ((concealed information) with my Finnish guitarist as a duo and my flute, harp and viola London based trio.

- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?

I have an enhanced DBS certificate dated September 2015.

- Where and with whom did you train?

I trained most recently at The Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Thies Roorda (flute) and Dorine Schade (piccolo)
Previous to this I studied in London at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with Anna Noakes (flute) and Alan Baker (piccolo).
I began my training at the Junior Royal Northern College of Music with Jonathan Rimmer (flute) and Kathryn Eves (piano)
