About Alice
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have been teaching the saxophone privately for over 10 years, and have also taught students of a variety of ages and backgrounds. Weather the student wishes to learn how to play their favourite tune or to be entered in for graded musical examinations, I am happy to assist with these goals. To inspire pupils, I enjoy recommending concerts and performances of an eclectic variety for them to attend. I believe this makes their learning more relatable to real life musical situations which can result in me tailoring my lessons to suit their personal interests, aiding them to maintain motivation and enthusiasm towards learning the saxophone. I also recommend music for pupils to listen to at home so they can develop their own personal taste.
Alongside teaching, I perform regularly in various venues, with other professional musicians around London. I feel as though this is important, as hopefully, what I am teaching will be relevant and relatable.

Yes.
- Where and with whom did you train?
I studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance for my undergraduate degree for 4 years. During this time I studied with Julian Siegel, Liam Nobel, Simon Purcell, Mark Lockhart, Dave Wickens, Mick Foster and Martin Speake.

I am a passionate and experienced saxophone teacher who has honed a highly efficient and patient approach to music instruction. I am motivated and pro-active and enjoy working with people to reach their goals.
- Which subject(s) do you teach?
Saxophone; jazz/classical/pop
Music Theory
- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have a BMus Hons degree in Jazz Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, alongside ABRSM graded exam qualifications.
- How much do you charge?
I charge £35p/h and but will charge £40p/h for any travel that is over 30 minutes.
- Where do you teach?
I teach at the students house. I am willing to travel to most areas outside of NW London (journey's over 30 minutes will mean the lesson will cost £40p/h). Areas in particular that a good for me on public transport and through driving are; Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, Camden, Islington, Hackney and Barnet. However, these are not exclusive.
- When are you available?
My hours are flexible, and include day times and evenings.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
I am happy to teach all ages and all levels.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I have entered students for ABRSM grades (practical and theory) and have a 100% pass rate.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
Alongside making sure that whatever goals the student has in mind are achieved, my main focus is making sure that each lesson is enjoyable and to ensure that we have a consistent level of communication (with the student or parent) to figure out the best approach for both of us.
