About Heather Leigh
I have been teaching credit and developmental writing and reading courses at accredited colleges since 2006. I have taught writing, reading, and various literature classes over that time at more than 5 colleges.
I have collaborated with numerous business schools and programs to develop a business writing course offered for credit that satisfies most business schools’ requirements as a prerequisite to students starting their business major.
My work in the literary world began 30 years ago. I have served as Poetry editor for a major Chicagoland literary magazine, work with a multi-genre literary magazine that deals in more speculative content, and am on the panel of readers for the writing awards, Best of the Net. I have received multiple fellowships from SAFTA and was a Misty Upham award finalist.
