About Jose
I am a professional cellist and teacher with a deep passion for helping students find their musical voice. For more than 10 years, I have taught cello to students of all ages and skill levels, helping them build strong habits and a love for music. My teaching is shaped by my own career as a performer. I have had the honor of serving as the principal cellist for multiple orchestras such as Camerata Filarmonica de Puerto Rico, Philharmonic of Puerto Rico and Royal Symphony Orchestra of Puerto Rico. This experience taught me how to lead, how to listen closely, and what it takes to perform at the highest level. I bring those exact standards and leadership skills into my teaching studio every day.

I design personalized lesson plans based on each individual student's personal experience and goals for cello playing. I prioritize establishing a strong technical foundation upon which students may begin to develop their musical expression. Lessons are open to any level of playing and can be taught in English or Spanish.
