About Anthony
- What kind of experience do you have?
I qualified in August 1996, since then I have been involved with training of car and van drivers of all levels as well as training driving instructors.
- Do you have an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate?
Currently I have not yet been CRB checked by DSA (Driving Standards Agency) but that will be completed soon
- Where and with whom did you train?
I trained initially with DITC in Tolworth, Kingston Surrey. Subsequently I was invited back to be a trainer with this company.
- Do you belong to any professional organisations?
Member of MSA, DIA and ADI Federation.
- Tell me about some of your current students.
My current customers come from all walks of life. Mary qualified two years ago as a driving instructor and has now come back to me to become a driving instructor trainer. I have just taken on William, a linguist and publisher that needs to have a more secure form of income and he is now training to become an instructor. AB is a doctor in A and E at a general hospital and she desperately needs to pass her driving test so that she can commute more easily. A local company regularly employs me to maintain the standard of their van drivers as they have a major contract with a local council.

- Which subject(s) do you teach?
I am a specialist in all forms of car and van driving tuition/coaching/training. From Learner through Pass Plus, Refresher and Motorway to Advanced for IAM, RoSPA, Diamond driving tests. I am highly qualified and very experienced in training both trainee Driving Instructors and qualified Driving Instructors for Check Test Preparation. I also have great experience and very high qualifications for helping businesses deal with occupational road risk.
- Tell me about your qualifications.
ADI Grade 6, Dip. D.I., RoSPA Dip. in Advanced Driving Instruction, ORDIT and Fleet Registered. C&G 730 Teaching Cert. Stage 1, SAFED Registered Van Driver Trainer.
- How much do you charge?
For learner, Pass Plus, refresher and Motorway my charges are £24 per hour or £225 for ten hours paid in advance. For use of my car for the driving test, my charge is £80. For professional/vocation/advance training my charges are £75 for two hours (minimum period), £350 for ten hours and £1300 for 40 hours. The latter two charges must be paid in advance. Use of my car for any tests is £90.
- Where do you teach?
I'm based near Clapham Common SW4 and will travel to pick up from home/business/school/college up to about 2 mile radius from there. For longer training periods concerning vocational/professional/advance I will consider travelling up to the M25 as a radius.
- When are you available?
I work Tues/Wed/Thurs/Sat/Sun. I take Mon/Fri off. Starting times usually at ten am and finishing usually by 9 pm. I will consider early starts and/or late finishes where necessary.
- Which ages and levels do you teach?
Learners from 17 to any age. Levels already mentioned above.
- Do you have a personal message for students?
Driver training, like any form of tuition/coaching/learning is very personal and therefore you need to know that the person you've decided to progress with is highly qualified and successful but also has a high level of humility. You will find that should you choose me as your training provider you will find that these are my greatest assets.
