About Milo
I am an enthusiastic student of Arabic, with a firm command of the written language and grammar, and a reasonable fluency in spoken Egyptian Arabic. I always find it a welcome challenge to introduce others to the pleasures and trials of modern standard Arabic.
For two years I tutored children aged 6-13 in maths and English, as well as helping others to prepare for 11+ entry exams before I moved to Egypt to further my own studies.
Having completed my degree with first class honours, with a focus on both classical and modern Arabic literature, I am well placed to help expose students to a rich variety of Arabic texts to aid the language learning process.
The material I use contains a wide variety of registers of written Arabic, and is sufficient for covering the basics of Arabic grammar. However, it can easily be used in conjunction with a different coursebook if required.
Arabic is a beautiful language with a rich body of literature, and I hope to help students derive as much satisfaction from it as I have!
