About Tarn
Hello, my name is Tarn! I am a Postgraduate Diploma and First-Class Honours Degree graduate from the Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art.
I have experience working in multiple award-winning architectural practices across Scotland, ranging in a variety of scales from small bespoke residential to large-scale commercial projects.
As a student, I was consistently active in design reviews throughout my studies. I have also attended reviews as a guest critic at universities based in Glasgow, and have previously, carried out private tutorials for students.
I genuinely enjoy teaching, and have the patience, knowledge and experience to help individuals in the following areas:
-Architecture students from first year to final year
-Part I and Part II graduates seeking employment
-Part III students wishing to complete their studies via APEAS
Over the years, I have successfully helped numerous students improve both their grades and their confidence, helping them to build a portfolio of work for university and job applications.

-Portfolio and interview preparation for application to architecture schools
-Portfolio and skills interview preparation for Part I and Part II graduates seeking employment in the UK
-End of year portfolio reviews prior to final submissions
-Design development tutorials
-Crit guidance and practice sessions
-Developing presentation and communication skills
-In-depth research methodologies and strategies
-Skills development in various softwares: SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD, VRay, Enscape, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
-Part III preparation and advice
