About Melis
I am an architectural designer, writer, and editor. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Architecture in 2015 degree and Bachelor of Architecture degree in 2017 from Rice University in the United States. Since then I have worked as a research assistant, designer, writer, and editor in the field of Architecture. I have lived and worked in New York for 2 years at well recognized architecture firms and have also practiced in Houston, Istanbul, and London.

My teaching method is mainly based on teaching the student to apply their technical skills in a practical setting. It is important to provide knowledge on how to use a software but it is as much important to encourage them to actually produce drawings or models in these programs. I aim to keep this balance in my classes and be a mentor for them in their real-life application of their knowledge and skills.
