About Dexter
I am a Melbourne-based Architectural Designer with 5 years of industry experience in Perth (Mata Design Studio + SPH) and Melbourne (Cottee Parker + Techne), bringing industry insight to support and elevate emerging graduates.
I am highly passionate about teaching and mentoring, with a focus on bridging the gap between academia and practice. Having navigated this transition myself, I aim to equip aspiring designers with both the critical thinking and practical skills needed for the profession.
In addition to architecture, I bring experience in interior design, offering a holistic perspective across spatial design. My interests lie in heritage, cultural, and end-of-life architecture, where design can meaningfully shape human experience.

My lessons are tailored for university-level architecture students (undergraduate and postgraduate), as well as, senior secondary students seeking to strengthen their design, drawing, and architectural fundamentals.
Sessions typically run 1–2 hours, providing focused time for review, discussion, and hands-on development.
My approach is student-driven, combining structure with open-ended exploration. Students are encouraged to share questions in advance, allowing sessions to be highly targeted and productive. I adapt each lesson to the individual’s level and learning style, using robust discussions with curated precedents and iterative sketching.
In our lesson, I offer the following:-
1.) Targeted strategies and insights to help you excel across university architecture subjects;
2.) Hands-on training in industry-standard software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Twinmotion, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro);
3.) Research and literature review skills for design thesis students
