About Matthew
I am an architectural designer with over a decade of experience across private residential, hospitality, commercial and civic projects, alongside independent creative and teaching work.
I want to teach because I believe students benefit from access to honest, practical insight into the profession. I enjoy helping students build confidence in their ideas, question assumptions and develop a design approach that feels genuinely their own, while understanding how creative thinking translates into real-world architectural practice.
I also have the benefit of coming from a teaching background at university, and can help you understand what your tutors/examiners are looking for.

I aim to help students develop confidence in their ideas while strengthening their understanding of design, technical delivery and the realities of architectural practice. I encourage curiosity, independent research, thinking and a thoughtful, considered approach to design methodologies.
