About James
An aspiring Architect, I travelled around Asia in search of different techniques that would challenge my art understanding that I had developed from my classical training based in Oxfordshire. For the past 6months, I have been refining atypical artistic techniques. My Special interests are in photography, architecture, painting and digital art. Whilst I began painting and drawing in realism, I look to create looser more abstract works.

I believe drawing from life is the best way to improve your artistic ability. I will teach you specifically what to look out for. Moreover, techniques to avoid when drawing. Everyone has their own particular style which is wholly unique to them, thus, I don’t wish to change it, but merely improve it.

I had a bundle of 10 lessons with James. I am a total art novice but have always had a passion for painting. By the end of the course he had me painting my local landscapes. I thoroughly enjoyed our time! When he’s back from uni, I will book in more lessons.
James is an extremely talent artist who gave me a few sketching lessons over zoom. He is a patient and encouraging teacher who would be suitable for any age or ability level. I thoroughly enjoyed my lessons and can’t recommend him enough!
James is very witty and charming and above a very accomplished painter, specialising in portraits. At the age of 17 he held his first solo exhibition whilst studying for his A levels. I would recommend having a lesson with him, for a bit of fun and to improve your artistic ability!
