About Melisa
¡Hola! My name is Melisa and I come from Argentina, a lovely Spanish-speaking country in South America. In 2013 I got a grade as an English language teacher in my country with a degree of 3,97/5 and I have been working as a teacher for the last three years in primary and secondary schools as well as in private tutoring. This year, I was awarded a scholarship by the British Council and the Argentinean Ministry of Education to work as a Spanish language assistant in a secondary school in Leeds. In Argentina, this kind of scholarship is only given to qualified English teachers to develop both our command of English and our teaching skills.
I'm passionate about my job. That's why I consider that delivering private EFL or Spanish lessons could give me a great opportunity not only to do what I really like but also to enjoy my cultural exchange in Leeds even more.

My teaching methodology depends on the needs of the student. I'm willing to work with students of all ages. Ideally, I focus my lessons on meaningful communication rather than just repeating memorized phrases or words. I have experience preparing students for their GCSE examinations, too.
