About Pamela
I graduated from Glasgow school of Art with a first class BA (hons) degree in textile studies. Previously I also gained an HNC in portfolio preparation.
I have continued to design textile pieces for interiors, produce photographic pieces and tutor students wishing to gain entry to an art and design course in my free time.
After graduation I featured in two exhibitions within my local area, one for textile art and the other for photography. My work is inspired by all fields of art, including sculpture, architecture, product design and fashion. I continue to build up my knowledge of artists, designers, techniques, trends and materials, so that I can help with all areas of portfolio development.
At the moment I work as a team manager within a children's clothing company and have almost 20 years experience with visual displays and merchandising. I work with visual guidelines and design packs giving me knowledge of the branding side of the retail industry.
I am inspired by nature, fashion, architecture, sculpture, interiors and graphic design. I read anything and everything to continually gain knowledge. I feel it is important to push boundaries as you can often amaze yourself with your potential.
