Meeting someone new can be daunting, let alone a new teacher, so I’m very happy to chat informally before you need to decide about lessons.
Also happy to travel further than 10km! Just ask.
I believe it’s important that learners are able to express and develop their own ideas not those of their teacher. To artists just starting out on their creative journey I will teach skills and techniques that, with practice, will enable you to explore your own ideas and find your own style. Those who have already started finding their voice I will help to refine their skills and with thoughtful feedback we will work together to find the best path for you and your creativity.
15 years as an art teacher, 10 of them as head of art. I have taught GCSE and A level fine art, photography and graphic design with strong student redults. I am a professional artist, with work in galleries across the south-west. And I worked for seven years as an animator.
