Wether you are planning on going to university or collage or just looking to improve I can help. My goal is to work in the art sector of a university so I have already acquired all the knowledge necessary to help you build a portfolio and improve your skills. I am open to contact at anytime and would ask that you bring some work to all of the lessons so that we can discuss the next steps for your improvement.
I worked as a student ambassador at Lincoln University so I am fully prepared with the knowledge and skills to help you build a portfolio you can be proud to bring with you during any art and design subject university interview. I have Illustrated books, characters and have my own webcomic.
Any level of student is accepted, Although it would be beneficial to you if you could provide a few examples of your work in advance so I can create a personal learning plan for your improvement.

I have felt passionate about teaching since helping my younger siblings and friends at school with their homework, I enjoyed finding fun ways for them to learn new things. When around children I’ll always try to be empathetic and relate to them, I have a general interest in children’s media due to my background in illustration and this helps as I can relate to the children by talking about the same cartoons and games they enjoy. I am able to be patient and polite to everyone whilst also respecting the needs of others. After helping at Harlow Primary School I received letters from the children thanking me for visiting, this was incredibly inspiring and help me see that a role in teaching was where I wanted to be.
I also have a huge interest in caring for animals, I have taken care of dogs, a goat, guinea pigs and rabbits even a bearded dragon. Currently I look after for a python that requires care and patience and a rescued rabbit that was going to be thrown away by his previous owner. I took the time to train the rabbit to use a litter tray and am determined to make sure that my pets have a happy and supported life.
My dyslexia used to cause me problems when writing but with time and effort I have overcome my weaknesses and improved on my strengths, I feel that with this job I can act as a role model to show children with learning difficulties that they are more than their learning problems and can still strive to any career they want to. Being a supportive role model can encourage children to enjoy learning and can improve their overall wellbeing and grades at school.
Being a voluntary helper on The Mix (Supporting 13-25 year olds) has taught me how to speak to those younger than me with care and respect, whilst encouraging them to find solutions to problems they are facing at home or at school. This is a voluntary job that anyone can join in with as well as post any issues they are facing. I have spoken to strangers via the website helping them though learning disabilities, mental health problems and family struggles. I am driven and focused when it comes to checking the website everyday and making sure no one gets left out.
Becoming a teacher has been something many friends have encouraged me to do, they have often remarked on how I would make a good teacher and these comments always fill me with determination and help me focus. I want to start with a learning support role so that I can focus on smaller groups of children and help those with certain problems learning. This is because I also had trouble learning at school due to slight dyslexia but received very little support and was very shy and anxious due to feeling as if I was less than the other students. I don’t want any child to feel as if they are worth less than those around them, and its for this reason I would like to teach those with Learning disabilities before hopefully moving on to a job teaching art in a collage or university.
During my free time I love to draw as well as read, books have always fascinated me and are a wonderful way of expressing a story or event. Writing is also an enjoyable hobby, I have been working on a 90,000-word novel for a few years as well as many short stories. Some of my writing I have even posted on writer’s websites and have received many positive comments and questions from readers asking me to post the next part of my stories as soon as I can. Reading those comments is always very motivating and encourages me to try other genres and styles of writing whenever I have a notebook and pen with me. Because of my love for literature I volunteered at my school’s library and worked at the desk as a student librarian. This job helped me to learn about many different books as well as meet other avid readers like myself. My master’s degree was focused on literature and illustration as well as encouraging young adults to read more books.
