I am an artist, tutor, curator, exhibition organiser, and publicity officer for a gallery.
I teach any level therefore I tailor my class to the person being taught. I can teach children from school age to adults of any age with any experience for most art subjects. If academic teaching is required I can do that also. I can concentrate on a particular requirement or teach a broader range. I can add art history to this, in fact basic art history goes hand in hand with my teaching. I am a kind but firm tutor. Encouraging and supportive.
I have been tutoring for ten years. I taught the under fives ( with parents) for two years. I have tutored students of a mature age. I have tutored students to degree level for over four years. Some if my mature students have become artists in their own right. Some have reached post graduate level. Some of my very young children have not forgotten me and still have some if the things we made way back. I was tutor in an art gallery for some years. I belong to an art society and have been with them for thirty years or more. I have led them in several projects of which the results are to be seen in the local hospital radiotherapy Dept and the respite children's ward, also the walkway. We have these paintings recorded in The National public art catalogue. The RNLI started an art collection , one of my paintings was the first to be bought. I have work in Sweden ,Japan, and Australia. I am passionate about art and how important it is to all aspects of our lives. I love sharing my expertise and experience with others.
