My teaching methodology is essentially trying to adapt the lessons to the specific needs and interests of the student. I recognise that each child responds to specific stimulus and I am definitely willing to go the extra mile to ensure the student is doing the best they possibly can. My lessons are definitely interactive, with maximum engagement to stimulate the part of the brain that stores interesting, unforgettable memories. However, my homework policy is that there will be no homework given. I believe that children, while being educated is a top priority, should also be allowed to be children. As such after lessons are up to the parents and the child to decide whether they will continue to study or actively engage the child’s attention in something besides their studies. This blend of academic and leisure allows the child to be eager to learn, unburdened by the constant pressure which accompanies the added workload of homework. To me, it is vital that students understand this. Of course, home time can also be used to review the days lesson but it is not a necessity that the child is given homework every day from myself!
