I am a current college student studying education. I see my age as a plus for students. I am able to connect with young students, as I am so close to their age. I think I also seem less intimidating and more approachable as a younger academic coach.

My lessons tend to be more student-centered and creative. Giving students the opportunity to take learning into their own hands is more beneficial for their growth. Students learn more by discovering things on their own, and this is what I encourage when teaching. I also use students' interests as a motivator when choosing what to center my lessons about.
