About Romy
With 10+ years of experience as a violin tutor, I have successfully guided around 300 students, including high school students, college learners, and adults, helping them build both technical skills and confidence. My teaching approach is simple, structured, and flexible, allowing students to learn at their own pace.
I focus on key techniques such as posture, bowing, rhythm, intonation, and tone production, ensuring a strong foundation. I break down lessons into easy steps so students can learn without confusion. I also provide guidance on regular practice and improvement strategies.
One of my proud achievements is helping students perform confidently and develop a genuine interest in violin. My aim is to make learning enjoyable, effective, and meaningful for every student.

My violin teaching philosophy emphasizes communication, flexibility, and practical application of musical skills. I assess each student’s learning style, pace, and goals to tailor lessons for effective understanding and steady progress.
I cover fundamental techniques including posture, bowing, fingering, intonation, tone production, phrasing, and expressive playing, while encouraging creativity and personal interpretation. I incorporate real-life examples such as learning favorite songs, performing for small audiences, and understanding music’s emotional impact to make lessons meaningful.
I also teach supporting subjects like music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano skills to strengthen overall musicianship. My aim is to create an inspiring and structured environment where students gain confidence and enjoy learning.
