About J'nai
Currently I'm an online ESL teacher with Education First, tutoring students ages 5-10 in English grammar, phonics, reading and listening comprehension. Prior to that, I was a youth services library aide from 2010-2014, planning early/emergent literacy events for children such as preschool and daycare story hour. I have a BA in English from the University of Georgia and a 120-hour TESOL Certificate through the International Open Academy.

My teaching approach is laid back, encouraging and patient. I offer guidance through easy-to-follow modeling techniques and consistent (yet gentle) correction. I encourage a lot of interaction and, specifically for non-native English learners, I offer a total immersion learning environment. For young learners, I'm engaging, amiable and playful when it's warranted. I provide visual aids and annotation throughout the lesson in order to clearly demonstrate English language conventions and concepts.
