About Mieka
I am an avid reader and writer, science-fiction is my favourite but I'm not too picky.
Years ago I received a 94.5 ATAR which included all the levels of English, up to Extension 2. I think I could have done better but I was busy being an angsty teenager.
My approach to teaching is gentle but thorough. I think many people (including myself) need some extra guidance in order to unlock their full potential, particularly in writing. I received a lovely public education and would love to pass on some great teachings that have benefitted me in my current studies in Art and Psychology at The University of Sydney.

My skill is in essay writing, particularly in unpacking drafts and helping students to re-write a more skilful version in accordance with criteria they will need to provide.
This is the method that was used for me in my tutoring sessions, and which henceforth gave me the understanding of how simple it could be to write an A-grade essay.
I have tutored since I developed my skill in high-school as I believe one-on-one coaching and breaking-down of the essay structure is integral for many students (including me) to unlock their full potential as writers.
English skills are integral to further study and once you have it down pat, writing well becomes relatively easy.
