About Tim
I was born in Northallerton in North Yorkshire and was inspired to become involved in music by Dr Francis Jackson OBE at a young age as a chorister at York Minster. His teaching has always been the backbone of what has become a varied musical career spanning 35 years, as Musical Director, Conductor, Mentor, Composition Tutor, Organ and Singing Teacher. I hold diplomas for most of the major examining bodies and is also a PRS/MCPS member. I own my own music publishing house representing musicians from all around the world.
I like to pass on all my knowledge and tips gained from all the above facets of my musical career and inspire the next generation.

Lessons are either 30 mins or 1 hour. For longer lessons please contact me. I have been teaching for 35 years. For the last 22 at the Yorkshire College of Music & Drama in Leeds (now known as Music House). I now teach at my own studio on Meanwood road in Leeds. My techniques and teaching methods are tailor made to suit the students needs but do include all ABRSM grades of theory. Composition lessons are based on the students needs and reflect my position as an award-winning international composer with publications widely published throughout the world.
