About Harvey
I have more degrees than a thermometer and helped hundreds of students in my 30-year career. Bachelor of Music with honors- Master's Degree in Conducting and Performance Studies. Even taught at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Doctorate in Educational Leadership. Awards in music, education and leadership. I have taught elementary music in West Lafayette, Indiana Schools and coached the Purdue University Show Choir. My choirs have performed at the International Youth Music Festival in Harrogate, Great Britain and Westminster Abbey. My compositions have been premiered at the American Cabaret Theater, Indianapolis Indiana. My original play The Enchanted Hour has been performed throughout the Midwest. Many of my students have become teachers and performers themselves studying at the Berklee School of Music in Boston and institutions throughout the US and the world. I have worked in the US, Beijing, China and Manila, Philippines. Love people, teaching and creative approaches to solving challenges. I am the Inspiration Doctor.

I love teaching people first and foremost. Having taught English to Chinese students (VIP kids), music to all ages in the United States and the Philippines. My coaching strategies have helped all ages including those with ADHD and autism overcome obstacles and succeed. I meet each student where they are and we develop together a plan for our success while being tutored by me. A highly successful music educator and former international school headmaster with degrees in music, performance studies and a doctorate in education to boot. From beginner to postgraduate students, I have a history of success with all ages from pre-K to those retired. A typical lesson begins with a review of the content from the previous lesson, a check-in and a check-up. Building on re-teaching where necessary and scaffolding your success with each lesson we share. That is the reason I am called The Inspiration Doctor!

Fantastic teacher!! I had him as a choir director in high school, and then took piano lessons from him after high school. Great teacher, very inspiring and very fun to sing with. I highly recommend him. He is a top-notch musician and is a great instructor.
Great man and great teacher. His credentials speak for themselves but he is very skilled at teaching music. I've been a vocal student of his for 3 months and he is continually helping me to further my abilities. I'm excited to see where the future takes things!
