I am a passionate and dedicated language teacher with a unique blend of multicultural experiences and a deep love for languages. Growing up in the vibrant and diverse community of Soweto, Johannesburg, I was immersed in a rich linguistic environment, becoming fluent in Zulu, Xhosa, Sesotho, Tswana, and English. My upbringing in such a linguistically diverse setting has made me an adept polyglot and an exceptional teacher.
I am currently traveling through South America, learning Spanish and Portuguese to deepen my understanding of the cultures and languages of the region. This adventurous spirit and my commitment to continuous learning enrich my teaching methodology, allowing me to bring real-world cultural contexts into my lessons.
As a seasoned traveler and cultural enthusiast, I enjoy teaching because it allows me to share my love for languages and cultures with my students. Hi! My name is Mpumi, an accomplished and passionate language teacher with many diverse experiences from my travels. I am from Soweto, a diverse community in Johannesburg, South Africa. I would describe myself as an 'African polyglot,' as I am fluent in five South African languages: Zulu, Xhosa, Sesotho, Tswana, and English. I am also currently learning Spanish and Portuguese, which allows me to offer unique perspectives as a teacher and a student.
My extensive travels combined with my South African heritage, greatly influence my teaching methods and style.
