"Beginners and advanced learners frequently reach out to me for guidance on the fiddle. If you are seeking a teacher who values the oral tradition, you have found the right place. Ornamentation is something we explore through imitation rather than just reading notes on a page. I have spent 13 years working with 180 students to improve their tone production and intonation.

"Does the idea of picking up the bow for the first time feel daunting? We start by listening to simple melodies and matching the pitch by ear. Classical repertoire is a part of our work, but I prioritize the feel of the music first.
My background at East Tennessee State University informs how I break down rhythm and timing. I also emphasize scales and arpeggios to build your confidence in orchestral playing. The goal is to make the instrument feel like an extension of your body. Are you ready to see how far we can go with your playing?"
