About Barney
Graduating from the Royal College of Music taught me that music theory should feel intuitive rather than academic. You do not need to memorise every scale if you understand the underlying patterns.
I integrate ear training, power chords, and blues progressions into every session. My background also covers tuning and maintenance, fingerpicking, and sophisticated improvisation. I have supported 340 students, including those preparing for grade exam prep or lead guitar roles. It is rewarding to see players find their own voice.

Picture yourself playing a complex solo that finally flows with natural ease. I draw upon 5 years of stage experience to show you how to connect theory to the fretboard. My degree informs the way I explain rhythm and tone. We address specific hurdles like lead guitar speed or subtle fingerpicking nuances.
I keep our time together focused and highly productive. You will notice the difference in your playing almost immediately. This is how we build real skill. I hope to see you there.
