About Hloni
I’m Hlonipha, a BComputing student at Belgium Campus ITVersity in Pretoria.
I chose to become a tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping others understand things that confuse them. I know how frustrating it can be to struggle with a subject, especially when it feels like everyone else understands it. Having recently gone through high school myself, I understand the pressure, the workload, and the challenges you’re facing, and that’s exactly why I want to help.
I’m passionate about teaching because I’ve seen how the right explanation can completely change someone’s confidence. For me, it’s not just about getting the right answer, but about making sure you understand the process and feel more confident tackling problems on your own.
I tutor subjects like Math, Statistics, EGD, CAT, IT, Life Sciences, Chemistry, and Physics, and I always aim to make lessons clear, supportive, and easy to follow. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable asking questions, learning at your own pace, and improving step by step.

My approach to tutoring is simple: I focus on helping you actually understand your work, not just memorize it. Everyone learns differently, so I take time to figure out what works best for you and explain things in a way that makes sense. I break down difficult topics into smaller, easier steps and make sure you’re comfortable before moving on.
What makes me different is that I’m patient and relatable. I’ve recently been through high school myself, and I’m currently studying BComputing, so I understand the pressure and the type of work you’re dealing with. I don’t rush lessons, and I don’t judge. You can ask as many questions as you need until things finally click.
I teach in English and isiXhosa, and I make sure my explanations are clear and easy to follow. If something doesn’t make sense the first time, I’ll explain it differently until it does.
In a typical lesson, we go over what you’re struggling with, I explain the work step-by-step, and then we practice together. After that, I let you try on your own while I guide you where needed. I also share tips and tricks to help you in tests and exams.
My lessons are for high school students at any level, whether you’re struggling, trying to catch up, or aiming for higher marks. I tutor Math, Statistics, EGD, CAT, IT, Life Sciences, Chemistry, and Physics, so I can help you in more than one subject.
The main goal is to help you feel more confident and improve your marks without feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
