About Woo-Ri
Hello! I’m a native Korean speaker currently working as a public school teacher in the United States.
I was born and raised in Korea and have spent many years studying and working in education. Through my experience teaching diverse learners in U.S. classrooms, I’ve learned how to explain complex ideas clearly, patiently, and in a way that truly supports language learners.
I understand that learning a new language can feel intimidating—especially when the language system is very different from English. That’s why I focus on creating a safe, encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and building confidence step by step.
I also have experience working with children and families, and I bring structure, consistency, and warmth into every lesson. My background as both a teacher and a parent helps me connect naturally with young learners while keeping lessons meaningful and goal-oriented.
Whether you are a child, a student, or an adult learner, I believe that everyone can learn Korean with the right guidance and support. My goal is not just to teach the language, but to help you feel confident and motivated throughout your learning journey.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting your Korean learning goals!

My lessons are clear, supportive, and personalized—designed to help you feel confident using Korean in real life, not just memorizing grammar rules.
As a native Korean speaker and a U.S. public school teacher, I understand how language learners in the U.S. think, struggle, and succeed. I explain Korean in a way that actually makes sense to English speakers.
What you can expect from my lessons:
• Speaking-focused lessons from day one
• ️ Simple, clear explanations of grammar (no confusion, no pressure)
• Reading & writing support when needed
• Real-life Korean: daily conversations, culture, and expressions
• Step-by-step structure so you always know why you’re learning something
For children:
I offer fun, structured, and age-appropriate Korean lessons using games, visuals, and routines. As both a teacher and a parent, I know how to keep children engaged while building real language skills—not just vocabulary lists.
For adults:
Whether you are learning Korean for conversation, travel, family, or personal interest, I adapt each lesson to your goals and pace. Mistakes are always welcome—confidence comes first.
My teaching style:
• Patient, encouraging, and well-organized
• Flexible to your goals and learning style
• Focused on progress you can feel after each lesson
If you’re looking for a tutor who truly cares about your progress and makes Korean feel approachable and achievable, I’d love to learn with you.
Feel free to message me with your goals—I’ll help you get there.
